Tanner Street

The site comprised a warehouse and adjoining yard in Bermondsey. A feasibility study was carried out for a mixed use development commissioned by a medical group. The accommodation comprised 18 affordable units and 26 private housing units located over retail/office space. Each housing unit was provided with a balcony and the public space on the ground floor was interconnected with surrounding office developments. A cinema and market space was provided to enhance the public realm.

The design generators included access, housing mix, day lighting, conservation, landscaping and sustainable design.
